Key Formula
Combines four dead-ball factors: how many corners the team wins (the biggest factor), how often they win aerial duels, how many free kicks they earn, and how reliable they are from the penalty spot. Corners and aerial ability carry the most weight because they represent the most frequent and dangerous set piece opportunities.
Normalization
Each factor is measured against the range seen across all teams, from the weakest to the strongest. A team at the top of all four measures would reach the maximum score; one at the bottom of all four would reach the minimum. The final score is centered so that an average team sits at neutral.
Confidence Impact
Requires at least 5 matches for either team — below this, the signal is excluded entirely. Uncertainty starts at 0.85 below 5 matches, drops to 0.65 at 5-7, 0.50 at 8-9, and 0.40 at 10+ matches. Incomplete set piece data adds +0.15. Stale data (>30 days since newest match) adds +0.10.
