Normalization

The home team receives a positive advantage score while the away team starts at zero. When multiple seasons are available, the home win rate across those seasons is used directly. The final score reflects whether this particular venue is a genuine fortress or not.

Confidence Impact

Requires at least 3 home matches to classify performance — below this, the signal uses a prior-based estimate with reduced confidence. Uncertainty ranges from 0.1 (5+ matches, strong record) to 0.5 (maximum). Neutral venues produce a low uncertainty of 0.2 with both sides at zero; unknown venues produce 0.5 uncertainty. Single-season analysis adds +0.1 compared to multi-season.
